Safely Arrived

Hey friends!

Sorry it's been a while. We still don't have a cellphone (though we're buying one in Bamenda tomorrow, Lord willing), so we can't send or receive emails, which means no blog posts. :(

We've made it to Ndu; we're all settled into our house. We're healthy, we're eating well, and we're still pumped about teaching. Everyone has been so welcoming and hospitable. We already have tons of stories for the blog, but they'll have to wait until we get our house outfitted for internet.

Thanks for praying---keep it up!

We'll be in touch soon.

From cold, rainy, muddy Ndutown,

Wesley, for the whole team

Glad to know that you are there and settling in. We have been praying for you daily that you would do just that; settle in! Tommy, we read the story about Joshua tonight, complete with the song and pounding on the table. We all thought that something wasn't quite right - aha, you weren't singing with us!! You'll have to teach that song to the children in Ndu. I'm sure they'll love it and you. More later - glad to know that all is well.

We miss you all -

Wes, I talked to my other roommate a week ago and he seems like a really cool guy. I'll have to tell you more about it later. I'm really looking forward to Taylor.

Mom officially declared today that she was going to call Ndu, "Indoo".

Great to hear from you. I'm praying for you guys.

I just got through talking to Wesley on the phone for the first time since he left, and he said that everything is going really well so far. He was using a temporary cellphone, and will be getting a permanent one tomorrow--hooray!! I can't wait to hear about their experiences so far.

I love reading all of your comments, as well!

(word for word quote)

I had my friends over. We jumped on the trampoline. I played "ogre under the bridge" with dad at the park. I miss you Tommy. I wish you could push me on my swing. I am going to go to Musikgarten soon. Charlie, the fair is coming.

So we just realized it is 6am for you guys. What time do you get up and what time do you go to bed?

There is a 7 hour time difference between MN and Cameroon.

Hey fellas,
AB here. I'm stoked for you guys being over there. Keep the updates coming. I'll be praying for you guys. Class starts for me at GCTS on Sept 11, and I'll be living in this place that's across the street from the ocean. I haven't seen it, or my other 3 roomates, but we walk by faith, right?
Godspeed

Glad you made it there safely, especially with the current security concerns...we miss you, but then, you already know that.

It just doesn't get much cuter than Anders (see above comment), who apparently needs a Tommy replacement at the swingset. Charlie, they couldn't find anyone to teach TBI track one Hebrew this year. Wesley, our dinner table misses your presence (ok, WE miss your presence AT our dinner table!). See all the holes ya'll left?!

TBI beginning of the year festivities are in full swing here. After meeting the new TBI couples I am amazed at how diverse the incoming personalities and places in life are this year. I like it. My favorite couple is an older couple from the Dominican Repulic who are also helping with BBC's Latino ministry. They're dear.

Well...back to work!

HI Guys,

Hope you got my "epistle." Wesley, I was happy to get your letter with accompanying CORRECT email address. I must pass it on to Kari.

The Guinea missionaries have been here this week, but have been in mega meetings, so outside of our Sunday gathering I haven' t spent any time with them. Beth Roberts (village nurse) will be staying with me this weekend.

Miss you guys,
Char
